Hinges

I designed two types of hinges specifically for my 3D printer enclosure. Initially, I purchased genuine metal hinges but they had excessive play that compromised their functionality. In response to this issue, I created self-centring hinges that are remarkably durable and reliable. The "B" version of these hinges is ideal for use on a door, allowing it to be easily lifted off. These hinges were designed with a very tight fit in mind. However, if you encounter difficulties getting them to work properly, I have also provided a slightly looser version named "+". This modification should help alleviate any issues associated with assembly. Recently, I added two new features: the "Decorative Corner" and the "Deco Corner Cutout", making my design even more versatile. To ensure optimal results when printing these hinges, use 100% cooling (it's recommended to refrain from using this setting on ABS). Printing without supports is also advised. The model has been designed with a layer height of 0.15mm in mind; however, other heights may still produce satisfactory results. The design was created using Sketchup prior to my familiarity with Fusion 360, and it has been ensured that the model is watertight and suitable for 3D printing. I have successfully printed these hinges using a variety of materials, including PLA, ABS, PETG, and Nylon, and all have yielded excellent results.
