Hinged Shower Hook - Print in Place
thingiverse
Human: I wanted a tool to lower the shower basket in my shower. Instead of using a bent coat hanger, I chose to design a print-in-place hinged shower hook. The design secures to the shower head by running a zip-tie through a small square opening. The design was created in Fusion 360 and printed on a Solidoodle 4 using Octave PLA at .2 mm thickness. Simply3D sliced and printed the part with custom supports. Only slight pressure broke free the hinged "latch," allowing for smooth pivoting. A space of .4mm was required around the pin, and between the hinge sides to achieve functionality. I achieved my goal with a first print-in-place hinged design.
