Hinged Outlet Cover/Protector
thingiverse
My new inverter generator was missing outlet covers, so I took matters into my own hands to protect the contacts from dust and corrosion. This simple solution increases the value of the generator by at least $25. These custom covers can accept two 6mm*3mm circular magnets for a more secure fit on magnetic faceplates. The covers are designed specifically for U.S.-type NEMA 5-15 or 5-20 receptacles, and they should also work well with other wall plate accessories, including those low profile wall switches! As an added bonus, I've included a magnetic USB cover that's perfect for the Pulsar PG2000iS or any niche USB cover application. It can even be used as a test piece to get the look of your first layer just right. To make these covers, you'll need: * Strong double-sided foam tape * A piece of 1.75mm filament * (Optional) 6mm*3mm circular magnets
