Hinge Shim for UPVC Windows
thingiverse
This is a shim for UPVC window hinges, designed to simplify the process of upgrading from a 17mm hinge to a 13mm one. The standard 'stack height' (mechanism closed) of hinges is either 13 or 17mm, and this shim allows you to easily replace the latter with the former by placing it between the window and hinge. I was surprised to discover that no 3D printable parts were available for this purpose, so I created my own attempt! Two models are included: one with clips and another without. Note that users may need to scale or adjust the part to fit their specific hardware requirements. The actual thickness of this shim is 3mm because the original hinges measured just under 17mm and the replacement was slightly over 13mm, as verified by a micrometer.
