Hinge repair for Technics SL-D2, SL-Q2, SL-Q33, SL-BD20,...

This is a repair for the dust covers of many Technics turntables. The models listed below require this fix. The repair involves cutting off the two tabs at the back that fit into black hinges. These tabs often break and can't be glued back on. To do this repair, you need to completely cut off the tab and the triangular supports. Use tape to protect your cover from scratches while working with it. A small jigsaw is ideal for cutting off the remaining tab. You'll also need a flat file and a sharp knife to make the area smooth. Be patient and take your time. After printing the parts, you'll need to drill two holes in your cover. Use 5.5 or 6mm drills, which work well with wood. Pre-drilling with a 1mm drill will speed up the process. When printing the parts, use the smallest side of your printer (refer to the picture for details). This way, the hinge tab will be suspended in mid-air. Print four perimeters for the strongest result. I used PETG, which is strong and easy to work with. Additionally, print a brim first since PETG can sometimes stick to your nozzle, causing your part to fall off the heatbed. You'll need four 5mm bolts and nuts. Make sure all of them are 16mm long. Now you're ready to put everything together.
