Fastener Pin Hinges are a critical component found on hinges used in door handles and other mechanical parts that open up when a hinge is put into action. 1. When taking apart any mechanism like this one, start by separating the two screws on the end caps of each hinge leg to access them more efficiently. 2. Be careful not to drop these screws while they're loose since they might be easily misplaced, which could cause delays in reassembling things later on down the road. Once inside, gently remove each retaining clip until it reaches the main pivot pin assembly which includes three major components including: a ball bearing spacer to center the axis during pivoting actions; two hinge spring washers located above/below these balls respectively making sure there isn't excessive play between pieces.
