Hinge for Extruder Heatsink (Anet A8)
thingiverse
This is my version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2057295 from http://www.thingiverse.com/Kelle8 I created this mod to make maintenance a breeze, no more disassembling your entire printer just to fix a jam or load new filament. I gave it a unique twist with hexagonal holes and moved the fan closer to the extrusion body for improved airflow, note that this might not be compatible with the original heat sink design. To install, simply screw in the fan and leave the heat sink off, if it's not securely attached it'll just obstruct airflow anyway. Many users have successfully removed the fan altogether so I'm confident this mod will work flawlessly. An added advantage of this mod is that the fan can be positioned at an angle greater than 90 degrees from the assembly, which allows for more effective cooling of the heating block and surrounding components.
