The lid on my Dirt Devil Canister came loose. I measured it with a caliper and designed a new hinge using Tinkercad.com. A pegboard hanger caught my eye, so I trimmed it down to exactly 54.50mm in length and 3.60mm in thickness. The hinge opening is 4mm wide and fits perfectly. To assemble the hinge, you need to push the rod all the way to one side of the hinge, then insert it into the lid's holes and use a tool to carefully slide the other part back. I secured the new hinge with a two-part epoxy.
