Hinge for 20mm T-Slot Extrusions
thingiverse
This project is still in development, but so far it's functioning quite well. I'm utilizing a "flag" hinge design from the Misumi catalog, which allows for numerous options and a few more ideas to explore. I've designed a panel hinge plate that connects a panel to an extrusion's surface; however, I haven't tested the panel component yet. Nevertheless, I have successfully built the part multiple times. The "flag" hinge style offers a lot of intriguing possibilities, which is why I wanted to incorporate several hinges into my designs for various enclosures. The part includes provisions for 5mm hardware and also allows room for a flat washer to distribute pressure evenly. With careful construction, this part will be durable yet operate smoothly. I built this model with three perimeters in mind, with each perimeter measuring 0.5mm (or using an even smaller nozzle like 0.4mm). You can easily scale up the part in your slicer software to accommodate other sizes if needed. I currently only utilize the 20mm series in my projects, so I've made provisions accordingly. Instructions for Use The "2020 Hinge" is the component that connects an extrusion's surface. "2020 Hinge Panel" is designed for a panel that is either 3mm or 5mm thick.
