Hinge Door Stopper
thingiverse
I've been searching for a compact door stopper and found several options here, but all were either on the floor or attached to the opposite wall. I wanted something that would be as small as possible and completely unobtrusive! This design is exactly what I was looking for. By leveraging its use on the top door hinge, this design manages to pack a lot of functionality into an incredibly small package while still providing effective stopping power. To ensure it fits any door perfectly, I designed it with moving parts that can be adjusted to your liking. To assemble this door stopper, you'll need two screws and nuts: an M3 screw and M3 hex nut for the Door Tab part, as well as a #8 x 1-1/4" screw and #8-32 hex nut. The Door Cap covers this screw to protect the door from damage. The screw that stops the door can be screwed in or out to adjust its location to your preference. The Door Tab is also adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune it to fit your specific needs. Installation is a breeze: simply pull the top door hinge out carefully and insert the door stopper with the hinge back in place. If anyone would like to use a regular M4 screw and nut instead of US #8, just let me know and I'll create a version for that as well. I hope you find this design useful.
