Human: Iconic representation of a Hindu deity from Java, Indonesia, circa 8th or 9th century, crafted from Andesite. Currently housed in the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire (Musée du Cinquantenaire) in Brussels, Belgium. This depiction is believed to have originated from the plateau of Dieng, a region renowned for its numerous temples dedicated to the Hindu deity Siva. The name "Dieng" translates to "abode of the gods," reflecting the kingdom's strong devotion to Hindu worship. For more updates, consider following me on Twitter at @GeoffreyMarchal.
