Hilux Aircon Knob replacement

I'm trying to fix my 2014 Hilux 2.4 SRX's aircon knob, but it seems like the replacement part is pretty standard across the Fortuner range too. The dealership wants a small fortune - almost as much as a new tire costs - just to swap it out. I've decided to take matters into my own hands and build a new one myself. The exterior of the original knob is incredibly durable, but the insert inside it is super fragile - that's the part that snapped. After spending some time designing a replacement, I'm starting to think that the original design was intentionally tricky to make. There doesn't seem to be any good reason why it had to be built that way. The knob itself is made of transparent plastic, which makes it glow in the dark at night - so you could easily replicate this feature if you're into keeping things looking nice. I didn't have any transparent filament on hand, so I opted for ABS instead. It turned out great.
