This Hillsborough point boasts a contracting stem, part of the Florida Archaic Stemmed Complex, which spans roughly from 5000 to 3000 B.C. Typically found in central and northern Florida, this type of point is not exclusive to those regions - Georgia and Alabama have also yielded discoveries. Many collectors refer to it as the Batwing point.
