Hiking Tripod

Bought two hiking poles to test if they would reduce knee pain during hikes. Found that I still needed to carry a trusty monopod pole as well. Two poles, one camera - all I needed was something to connect them. So here's not just a monopod or bipod, but a tripod (I might have a friend along who could hold the other pole for hands-free shots). Happened to have two ball heads in my photography kit bag, so I used them. The smaller one wasn't strong enough for my SLR camera, but worked perfectly with my battered old waterproof compact. It should also work without the ball head, especially when using monopod mode - you can even set it on a flat surface. I'm sure someone out there could adapt this setup to use a phone mount for the ultimate selfie. Also put a hole in the middle of the tripod to attach a cord for a counterweight, which improves stability (but still needs a self-timer or remote release to prevent wobble). The design files are located in the "tripod.scad" file - you'll also need the other two scad files in the same directory for it to work.
