Hiking pole camera mounting clip
thingiverse
This clip securely attaches to a Black Diamond hiking pole. The standard thread hole in the clip is designed for mounting a camera, using a screw (not shown). The purpose of this attachment is to enable taking selfies while backpacking or hiking by positioning a camera at the end of the pole. The pole's tapered design necessitates a similarly tapered clip. A version that mounts at an angle has been added, which keeps the hiking pole out of the frame. Update: This angled version was successfully used on a 5-day backpacking trip into Rocky Mountain National Park. However, it required careful handling to operate effectively. Further modification is needed to lock in the camera's pointing direction along the hiking pole.
