I wanted to print on the face so I could highlight the text easily. However, there are some challenges I had to overcome: 1) The base didn't extend evenly with the letters and hung in mid-air. 2) Printing on the face was problematic due to each letter's small bonding footprint – especially punctuation marks. To print this, I did the following: - Added permanent support for the base. - Since things tend to break off during filling, I avoided fill altogether. I set 0% fill and a high perimeter, maxing it out but possibly 4 or 5 would have done it. - Printed at a higher temperature to minimize pull on the extruded part. - Paused the print in the middle and used a pen extruder to bond fragile parts together. You could also do this by modifying the STL file, but I don't know how to do that either. - Printed at 50% normal speed. - Don't scale down the model. That makes the small bonding footprint even worse. - Don't use a brim. I tried it and it's a cleaning nightmare!
