I've been experiencing significant connectivity issues with my phone linking up via Bluetooth to my car's player in my 2011 Highlander after upgrading to Android Oreo. Several years ago, I purchased a tablet from my cellular provider that came with 2GB of data per month. Realizing the potential of this device, I decided to utilize it alongside an SD Card capable of holding all my music to connect directly to the head unit. This innovative combination would provide me with a larger display and eliminate the frustrating drops in connection every time the track changed. This setup was carefully designed to occupy the CD Player slot, which I no longer use due to personal preference. Although it covers the display on the head unit, everything remains easily visible on the tablet screen. The two holes at the top of the device allow me to add some monofilament fishing line for added stability and secure anchoring in place without causing any damage to the fascia. I opted for a removable solution that leaves all other components intact and unchanged. To further enhance the overall experience, I also attached a small piece of foam to the back of the device using glue. This protective measure ensures a smooth interface between plastic surfaces and eliminates any potential rattling sounds.
