Higher Feet (35mm) for Creality CR-6SE Silent Fan Mod
thingiverse
This is a 35mm high remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4728371 This thing is an addition to the beautifully designed "CR-6 SE bottom cover for 80mm silent fans" by Pla5ma, as seen here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4735750 For this conversion, there is plenty of space around the PSU and the mainboard, so they need very little active ventilation. I baulked at the cost of Noctua fans and went for some cheap "silent" 80mm fans from AAB Cooling available on Amazon for £6. The mainboard fan turns fairly slowly and the PSU fan doesn't even switch on until 30 minutes into my prints, so spending a fortune of premium silent fans isn't really worth it. Anyway, these feet are required, because the new power supply covers are correspondingly higher due to the dimensions of the fans and to give air intake clearance below the printer. These feet increase the height of your printer by 35mm, whereby the original anti-slip feet (which are only glued) can be reused. Simply tear it off, insert the new feet and put the anti-slip rubbers back in - the old adhesive will likely still be sticky enough. I haven't done a adapter for the standard filament holder from Creality because I don't use it - I have a Sunlu box connected by Bowden tube - sorry Printed from PLA on a Creality CR-6 SE. Feel free to ask any Questions! Parts list: 1 x replacement parts from Pla5ma 2 x Any decent "near" silent 80mm 12v fan 1 x LM2596 Step-Down module
