People say that happiness is a warm Geiger counter. I required a 60v battery for my vintage 1950s Geiger counter and found it simpler to install a stack of 3v CR2016 batteries instead of DC-DC converters. To do this, just add as many batteries as you need - in my case, twenty were sufficient - then secure them firmly with the two nuts and screws provided. It's essential to attach the +/- wires to the holes at one end of the stack for optimal results. Furthermore, I recommend placing a plate against the battery ends rather than the screw side for added safety.
