This 3D model was originally built using Sketchup 13, then converted to all other 3D formats with native .skp format. The 3ds Max scene is 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00. This kit house dates back to 1883 and was sold for $4000 at the time. Today's equivalent value is unknown, but it was originally built along the East River. In its original layout, the kitchen was situated in the basement, linked by a dumbwaiter to the dining room above through stacked pantries. Later updates have included turning the cellar into a garage and transforming the original diningroom into a kitchen with a breakfast area. Additionally, the library has become the new dining room, while the old basement kitchen is now a flexible space. Upstairs changes involve using the front hall's small bedroom as the master bathroom, installing a new closet in bedroom 3 (lower attic bedroom), and keeping the rest of the house largely unchanged. The upper attic serves storage purposes, originally serving as servants' quarters. A back porch has been repurposed into a laundry area and the pantry now houses a bathroom. This house's original stone foundation remains intact, accompanied by a new block foundation beneath the old porch. This kit house model likely still exists today with its original material list included (excluding foundation and paint). The plans were sourced from an 1884 Victorian home design book.
