High Tide Bathtub Overflow Drain Plate - New Design!
thingiverse
I'm excited to share with you a brand new and improved bathtub overflow plate design that's a game-changer for all you DIY enthusiasts out there! Check out the link below for my previous version, which I've since updated and perfected. This latest iteration is specifically designed to be printed without any support structures, making it even easier to create and customize to your heart's content. Let's talk about how traditional overflow plates work. They're typically attached to the bathtub's "overflow drain" at the bottom, which means the maximum water level can never exceed the bottom of the plate itself. But what if you want to go beyond that? That's where my "High Tide" overflow plate comes in – it drains from the top, allowing you to add a few extra inches of water to your bath and elevate your relaxation experience! I took some time to give mine a professional finish with XTC 3D Brush On epoxy and white enamel spray paint. For an airtight seal, I highly recommend using 100% Silicone Bathroom Caulk – just follow the instructions for the best results. A small note: if you're looking at the pictures of my final version, you might notice tiny drain holes in the top. Don't worry, those are gone in the latest design, and trust me, it's a huge improvement. And as an added bonus, I'm working on a one-hole version that will be available soon – stay tuned!
