To measure warpage in 618 Nylon, a test object similar to one provided by ttsalo is used. Garolite LE, a low-cost board material made from cellulous fibers and heat-curable resin, ensures strong bonding with the nylon base, which is slippery due to its inherent properties in 618 Co-Polymer. Universities, industrial users, and machine shops require accurate dimensional and surface flatness for printing 618 Nylon. For testing, a specific part design - a 150mm long, 90-degree wedge with varying widths - is printed on Garolite LE. The optimal print speed, temperature, nozzle size, fill percentage, and perimeters are determined to achieve minimal warpage and successful part removal. After cooling and normalizing, the bowing along the part's long axis is measured at less than 0.2mm. McMaster Carr provides Garolite LE sources (8474K121, 8474K131, 8474K141, 8474K151 for 12" x 12", and 6842K61, 6842K62, 6842K63 for 6" x 6"). The test reference is from Thingiverse (thing:26955).
