High Resolution SARS-CoV-2 Virion

The Hutchinson Lab (@CRVHutchinson) requested that I attempt printing a wonderfully-detailed model of the SARS-CoV-2 virion by Annabel Slater (scientart.com). I was initially very hesitant due to the level of detail, significant amount of time required, and the high possibility of failure. I then decided to import the file into Blender and simplify it slightly, and remove elements that would not be visible when printed - which is what we are left with here. I had great success printing the model using photopolymer resin in my Voxelab Proxima and Phrozen Sonic Mini. I shudder to think about attempt printing it with FDM but please do attempt it and post your results here! Settings will vary depending on your printer, but I would suggest sticking to resin. For those of you printing using FDM, I salute you!
