High Resolution Herringbone gears for Greg's Wade Reloaded extruder.
thingiverse
The gears are similar in size to Stoffel15's herringbone/fishbone gears, maintaining a 9:47 ratio. The revisions include an increased number of facets on the parts. As a result, when printed at high resolution or scaled up, the sides of circles will be less visible. Modifications to the SCAD files allow others to adjust the resolution easily. Originally, I obtained the files from Lulzbot (http://download.lulzbot.com/AO-101/hardware/printed_parts/source/) but believe they were derived from Stoffel15's, Jonaskueling's, and Greg Frost's work. In the photos of the printed small herringbone gear, I used the original unedited file downloaded for a low-res STL. Both low and high-res prints utilize the same slic3r configs. The waviness in the low-res gear is due to the printing speed; at lower speeds, it appears less wavy but still has noticeable sides. Conversely, high-speed printing does not affect the quality of the high-res gear. Facets for the gears are as follows: Original large herringbone - 5478, High-res large herringbone - 11209, Original small herringbone - 744, and High-res small herringbone - 2024.
