The primary objective of these designs is outlined in “3D Printed UV-vis Cuvette Adapter for Low Cost and Versatile Spectroscopic Experiments”, a study published in the open-access journal ACS Omega. The publication can be accessed at http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acsomega.7b01310 This specific design is intended to replicate traditional quartz and glass UV-vis spectrometer cuvettes, featuring a 10 mm path length and approximately 2.4 mL sample volume. The only distinction from the standard design lies in the label on its side. The designed cuvette can be used with most standard UV-Vis spectrometers. To minimize light scattering, we recommend printing this design using black filament. An instructional video demonstrating the assembly of the spectrometer is provided below, along with a list of materials required post-printing. Both quartz and glass windows can be employed depending on the desired spectral range for the cuvette.
