High Pressure PC fan Kit - more than 100% boost
pinshape
This is a conversion kit for 120mm PC fans. The idea behind it proved to be incredibly effective, leading to its creation. This design has been thoroughly tested on two 3.84-watt and 6-watt fans, resulting in a doubling of pressure. It's clear that fan flow is halved when this happens. Obviously, the faster the rotor turns, the more pressure and flow are produced. I recommend using fans with a wattage of 3 watts or more. Dimensions supported by the kit: The engine diameter supported by the kit falls within these dimensions: 36,37,38,39,40,41,42 mm The maximum height of the motor is 23 mm In this video, the assembly of the kit is shown, followed by a test with some calculations. The design is optimized for printing with a 0.4mm nozzle Among the files you will find two covers: the "cover-plus05" adds 0.5mm of space in height if you haven't been precise enough in installing the impeller or if your motor moves too high. I added rings with a thickness of 0.5 - 1 - 1.5 mm, but if you need a different thickness, you can resize on the Z axis with the slicer to get the thickness you need. Suggest print option for the impeller: Wall: 0.8mm Top/Bottom: 0.8-1mm Infill: 10% Support only touch bed and angle over 70% (you'll need support only for the hole) Normal radial fans have a dead zone of 20-25%, which doesn't produce pressure, but this design eliminates that issue entirely, using the whole fan to generate pressure. More explanations can be found in this video. In this other video, the first comparison test with a 6-watt fan is shown.
