The piston was developed using fatigue analysis based on data from a 10 MPa pressure Harvard study. It can be accessed here: http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~jus/0303/kuo.pdf. The model is available in .SLDPRT, IGES, and STEP formats, while the bore diameter is adjustable via SolidWorks' Equations Manager. Made from 2618 Aluminum Alloy, it weighs 390 grams; however, this is the designer's first attempt at creating a part under fatigue loading, so expert feedback is appreciated.
