High Heel Tape Dispenser
thingiverse
My wife spotted a similar item at a craft store, but balked at the $15 price tag. I suggested creating one myself. While unsure if it's a 'mash-up' or 'derivative,' I found making it enjoyable. The pink version was intended for my daughter, but the print came out oddly; however, it still functioned. The high heel is from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:31218), and the tape dispenser components are from another Thingiverse link (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16169). I modified the wheel size for better tape roll fit. Print settings: .4 layer height, 3 shells, 25% infill, with support. Slicing into two halves wasn't successful. Print the wheel horizontally. Remove supports and sand pieces. Insert wheel into tape roll, then install it in the shoe (some force may be needed). Although lightweight and prone to tipping, my daughter enjoys using it despite my difficulty. Thanks go to TheNewHobbyist for the dispenser design and MakerBot for the high heel model.
