High Frontier Card Holders

High Frontier Card Holders

thingiverse

Deck stand for High Frontier, designed with BGG user Jan Tuijp from his original foamboard design. The idea is that you put the top card in front of the divider, and the rest of the deck behind, so you can pick up the top card without revealing the next card in the deck. To draw the next card, flip the divider forward, take hold of the card, then flip the divider back while you pull up that card and place it on the divider. Sounds more complicated than it is. :) The back has a bit of a flare so it's easy to put cards on the bottom of the deck. The dividers print separately and pop in. If you remove them multiple times (say, when making prototypes) the knobs may wear, but for a single insertion they should be fine. Print 1-4 holders based on what games you play; each holder has 3 decks (RfG = 1; Core = 2, etc.). Print 3 dividers per holder. Print 0-2 stands. The stand goes beneath a holder so it can sit behind another holder. A 2x2 layout (pictured) is useful if you are playing with all modules. The "large" version is only needed if you have very thick decks (thick sleeves or the like).
