High efficiency Extruder Cooling Duct for the Anet A8 Printer
thingiverse
I designed this air conveyor after trying out all the other makers have proposed. I've noticed that the other conveyors have internal holes with very large spaces, which results in a lowering of the air pressure at the outlet of the ventilation holes, resulting in an extremely weak air pressure. Many owners of Anet A8 have also replaced the fan on their extruder with a larger one to increase airflow. My project changes the paradigm - there's no need to increase the size of the fan, but rather decrease the size of the internal channels of the conveyor to increase air pressure and direct the air onto the extruded material instead of cooling it down. I must say that this work has satisfied me, with the impressive air pressure that comes out. I hope you enjoy my work; please leave comments and suggestions for improvements. You'll find two STL files available for download - they're almost identical, except for the distance between the nozzle fan connection, which is a consideration for all those who have made this upgrade: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2573278
