The boat is nearly to scale, featuring numerous exterior details such as guns, mounts, cockpit, torpedo tubes or torpedoes, depth charges, and other elements. Many of these features are animatable, including guns, mount controls, rudders, propellers, depth charges, and torpedoes (if included). It is fully textured. PT boats were fast attack craft used by the US Navy in WWII to target larger surface ships; "PT" represents their hull classification symbol for "Patrol Torpedo." Higgins Industries produced 199 of the 78 ft (24 m) PT-71, PT-235, or PT-625 class boats. The first Higgins boats served in the Battle for the Aleutian Islands and were also deployed during D-Day landings on June 6, 1944.
