HiFiBerry/ Raspberry Enclosure
thingiverse
This enclosure houses my versatile Raspberry Pi setup, but it can accommodate any other project requiring additional space for peripherals, wires, and boards. My system utilizes MPD with LICR to support seamless IR remote control functionality. Music is stored on a robust 64GB USB drive and connects wirelessly via WiFi to the local network. The display of choice is the DOGL128-6 from Display Assembly, which I acquired here: https://www.reichelt.de/DOG-LCD-Module/EA-DOGL128L-6/3/index.html?ACTION=3&GROUPID=3007&ARTICLE=86716&SEARCH=DOGL&OFFSET=1000&WKKD=0. Custom-designed files for the display's PCB were added, created using KiCAD. The connector on the board matches that of the original Raspi model, and the GPIO pin allocated for background lighting - which was initially set to pin 12 on the DOGL128 PCB but coincidentally clashes with HiFiBerry functionality - had to be reassigned to a different one: I chose to use pin 32 or GPIO12.
