HiFiBerry PiMusicBox
thingiverse
Inspired by Donald Bell's Raspberry Pi Home Network project, https://www.hackster.io/donald/raspberry-pi-home-network-music-system-d1c54c and wanting to create my own home theater system using the Pi Music Box, I developed this custom enclosure. I chose the HifiBerry Amp2 for its built-in DAC and amplifier, allowing me to plug in my speakers directly. I modified the original design from HiFiBerry's case, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:499193, by starting fresh and taking precise measurements to accommodate a Raspberry Pi Zero W. This decision allowed me to repurpose my Pi 3B+ for another project. To simplify connectivity, I used a flash drive with a microUSB plug that connects directly to the Pi Zero. With this setup, I can stream music from Google Play Music, and Mopidy has an available Pandora extension. While it's possible to stream Spotify, I don't have a paid subscription, so I haven't pursued this option.
