This housing for a USB charging port integrates seamlessly into the design of the Triumph Thruxton motorcycle. It can be easily installed between the upper fork bridge and the tachometer bracket, rendering it nearly invisible. The housing is specifically designed to accommodate the electronics from the Basetech KUC-2400 USB charger, which is available at Conrad.de. This charger supports Quick Charge technology with a maximum output of 2400mA. A small hole in the case beneath the USB port allows light from an LED to pass through, creating a subtle visual effect. To ensure water-tightness and visibility, the opening should be sealed using a transparent material. For optimal performance and battery life, it's recommended to connect this housing to the ignition plus circuit. This will prevent the battery from being drained during extended periods of inactivity. The parking light is an ideal connection point for achieving this goal. After two years of continuous use and over 60,000 kilometers, including exposure to rain, this USB charging port remains functional without issue.
