Someone stealing your pens? Do you need a system that immediately emails you a picture of the perpetrator in action? Look no further! A qi wireless charger fits neatly into one side of the middle piece, while a raspberry pi with the pi spy cam is securely fastened on the back side. Your phone covers the camera hole so you don't end up with only pictures of yourself and while you are away, the pi cam monitors your belongings. I used motion eye for the raspberry pi software. There are plenty of tutorials online from people who can explain how to install it better than I. The wireless charger can be found at this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Practical-DIY-PCBA-Circuit-Board-Coil-Wireless-Charging-Qi-Wireless-Charger-USB/283387526814?hash=item41fb367e9e:m:mOyGH8-gWyJZhy8aNxZMbfw The hardest part of this project is the wiring. I soldered power to my pi and cut up a micro USB cable to fit inside the case for the wireless charger, then used two micro voltage regulators (one for each device) to bring my 4+ amp power adapter down to 5 volts. Anything more than 6 volts will kill the pi. The charger uses 5 volts as well. The regulators I used can be found at this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-BEC-Voltage-Regulator-adjustable-Perfect-for-mini-quadcopter-QAV250/281894830019?epid=1667124200&hash=item41a23dbfc3:g:kP4AAOSwJcZWf21J I used a pi zero w with WiFi pre-installed to save space, and to solder power to the zero w I used the gpio header. Go to this link to view the header pins you need to use: https://chicagodist.com/products/color-coded-gpio-headers Pi spy cam: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3508 Pi zero w: https://www.adafruit.com/?q=pi%20zer The total cost for this project is about 40 bucks, but you'll get way more out of this than spending 40 bucks for a spy cam on eBay in my opinion. The stand is large enough for an iPhone plus-sized phone inside an Otterbox case, so it should work with most anything. The black on the face of the charging pad is just liquid tape to keep everything in place. It's not necessary to use that, though.
