HID iClass Key Fob Case
thingiverse
My apartment relies on this key to unlock the front door and operate various other systems. Unfortunately, the part that forms the ring for attaching it to a keychain has become dysfunctional. This is my initial attempt at prototyping something, and I managed to utilize TinkerCAD to design a casing for the key so I could hang it back on my keychain once again. This solution does necessitate that the key itself be slightly ground down to fit (not an issue given its existing fracture in that area). The two components also simply adhere together through friction, requiring some force to secure them but appearing quite robust afterward.
