The original setup on my Hictop 3dp-17 had the Y-axis end-stop switch firmly attached to the bed assembly. However, when mine malfunctioned due to a faulty solder connection, I decided to take apart the entire unit for repairs. As I was disassembling it, I thought of making future access easier by relocating the switch. To do this, I created a single-piece bracket that moved the switch to a fixed position beside the Y-axis motor. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the zero point was slightly off from the bed's surface, so I revised my design to include an adjustable feature.
