UPDATE: I've put up a new design - it features a thinned fan backplate, reduced height, and changed duct system. The older version will be updated as soon as possible to address clearance issues; in the meantime, you can use a ziplock tie if your setup permits to help reduce slop (I ran mine between the extruder/motor and mount). Strider086 sparked my interest in creating an inductive probe for automagic bed leveling - so I decided to make an 18mm variant. All the orange-tipped, 8mm sensing probes I saw were 18mm; blue-tipped ones are about 12.5mm. This design will likely be updated with a better-performing duct. I have yet to wire it up, but I plan on running this at 5v since I've read that it's possible to power them off the Z-axis endstop rather than powering with 12v and dividing voltage with resistors. Pictures will be uploaded when it is mounted and functional. Printer Settings: Hictop Prusa i3 (extruded aluminum) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: I printed this part with PETG because I don't like to print with ABS, and PLA might get a little droopy for parts within close proximity to the nozzle. I print PLA accurately and reliably at about 150mm/s; PETG is really slow to me - I'm printing with PETG at 40mm/s (outer perimeter is 30mm/s and infill speed is 60mm/s). The extruder clicks once in a while when doing infill at higher speeds, but it doesn't impact adhesion or strength that I can notice. Dropping infill speed to 45mm/s eliminates the intermittent messed-up step; however, it also adds more print time for 100% infill parts like this one.
