Hictop Prusa I3 (3DP11) - Z-Axis Braces
thingiverse
Brace to keep the lower end of smooth Z-Axis rods firmly in place within the metal stepper motor mounting bracket. The mount's fragile nature is exposed, barely a mere .5mm thick, and it struggles to withstand the rigors of movement, often yielding to the Z-Hop when navigating complex prints. To address this issue, create one of these essential bracing elements by printing the design as-is. Then, apply mirror image functionality to replicate the second brace for the opposing side. **Print Settings:** Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: None needed Supports: Eliminated for smoother designs Resolution: Optimized at .2 layer thickness with a .8 shell and .6 top/bottom thickness Infill: Strategically designed at 20% for a balance between strength and minimal weight **Print Guidelines:** Printer speed set to 80, ABS plastic with a 250 nozzle temperature and 100 degree Celsius heated bed temperature
