I built the Hictop Prusa i3 Acrylic 3DP-08, and it performed incredibly well for me. However, I encountered a problem - ghosting on prints when speeds exceeded 60mm/s. Following the success of my hypercube build, I decided to construct a 2020 frame and transfer all hardware and electronics over. This upgrade granted me an additional 35mm in Z height. I've attached my Sketchup file for anyone who wants to modify or customize it. For those interested in building their own 2020 frame, I highly recommend sourcing the extrusions from Misumi. They offer a convenient pricing system where you're not charged per cut, and they provide the exact 6mm channel extrusions needed. Plus, they're among the most affordable options available. I'm currently using Thing #1750976 for the fan cover and Thing #510957 for the fan duct. Additionally, I employ Extruder Thing #1099016. Here's a breakdown of the BOM for the 2020 frame: * (3) 440mm extrusions * (2) 340mm extrusions * (2) 237mm extrusions * A multitude of M5 bolts and T nuts When printing the "shoes" STL, I recommend using TPU to minimize noise, vibrations, and printer movement.
