A custom PSU cover designed specifically for my Hictop 3DP-17 24v power supply unit will probably fit many other printers with similar PSUs. The design combines a widely available IEC mains socket and switch unit, which can be easily found on eBay. Cutouts behind the socket hole are designed to accommodate the tabs on the socket, which on my purchased unit were intended for a 1.2mm thick plate. I used M3 x 5 screws to securely attach the cover to the PSU.
