Hictop control panel back cover
thingiverse
I redesigned the original layout to minimize filament usage by incorporating holes into the rear section. My primary concern was to keep static-charged fingers away from the electrostatic-sensitive electronics, so this modification posed no problem. However, I had exhausted the supplied tape in the kit and opted for a different brand of masking tape instead. Unfortunately, it began lifting shortly after printing started. To avoid losing bed adhesion, I turned off the bed heat and allowed it to finish. This decision resulted in some warping, but fortunately, the warping didn't significantly impact functionality. I extended the SD card access by 3mm towards the bottom of the design. The resulting warping didn't pose a major issue, so there's no need to reprint unless you prefer a perfect print. **Print Settings** * Printer: HICTOP 3dp-17 * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Infill: 10-20 **Notes**: I added supports throughout the design, but they only appeared in the hex-shaped holes on the rear. The SD card access lacked any supports, and the transition between layers was smooth, so it's likely that printing without support would also produce acceptable results. **Post-Printing** When printing with support enabled, be sure to clean out the holes afterwards.
