HIC Prusa extruder tensioner
thingiverse
The original OEM piece snapped under regular stress tests, forcing me to contact the Manufacturer for assistance. I requested the STL file, and they promptly provided it the following day. To reinforce the file and make it more amenable to pressing, I added reinforcements. The spring was also shortened by a bit. The original file is shown in the top image, while the modified one is displayed at the bottom.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \nHIC Prusa I3\nRafts: Don't Bother Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4mm resolution and a layer height of 0.1mm Infill: Dense infill - use it for maximum structural integrity. Notes: You should print an extra part, just in case something goes wrong. Without a replacement available, I was forced to manufacture a temporary part using rubber and a screw lodged into the damaged original piece.
