This upgraded fan shroud provides a Clear View of the Nozzle through a large, open port. It was redesigned in response to high demand for better visibility of the Nozzle while maintaining the original design as much as possible. However, this comes at the cost of 2 vent openings. The round view port does allow airflow over the opening and out of the remaining vent beyond it. This design was created with users in mind who find it very important to be able to visually inspect the nozzle during a print job. You may also use it if you simply want to admire your nozzle as it prints, but please don't tell us about it. This could potentially mean that there may be a decrease in the shroud's ability to function optimally. This area is only ~5mm and so your printer should be able to easily bridge it. Remember that since this shroud is near the nozzle, PETG or ABS is the recommended material, although PLA will function for a time.
