Hey designer Chandelier! The V-Ray render brings the fixture to life with breathtaking precision. I'm using only the 3ds Max materials that were designed specifically for this project. You won't find them in any other file type, except for the 3DS Max and FBX versions. Those files contain the same high-quality assets you're familiar with in maxzip format - one central location to store everything. For other file formats like OBJ, 3DS, DXF, or DWG, you'll need to manually apply those textures because they aren't included by default in those files. If I were a master designer, I'd want all the textures easily accessible from the root directory for the scene - organized and ready to go. That way, whenever changes are made or details updated, everything stays synchronized with maximum ease and speed.
