I was really drawn to those small models, but when it came down to it, I knew that the mesh on my own 3D printer couldn't live up to what Shapeways had achieved, so instead of tweaking it endlessly to try and match that high level of detail, I decided to simply crank up the resolution to minimize the effect of its low polygon count and give it a decent finish before I moved on to painting it.
