*[Make. Break. Repeat! on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/makebreakrepeat/): Updates every other Tuesday and Thursday!* The [Hi-Link enclosed AC-to-DC step-down voltage-converter modules](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/YbqvZz3) were the safest choice I found when working with [ESP-01](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/yJuFaiy) or similar 3.3V DC boards. They provide the safety of an enclosed "power supply unit" yet fit snugly behind a wall-mounted switch. The only issue is that the contacts are meant to be soldered to a PCB, which would significantly increase size and still need further insulation. The [Hi-LinkBox](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/ct5gX7t) steps in to solve both the insulation and contact issues simultaneously. It was designed for easy addition and removal of the module during soldering. When dealing with high voltage, be sure to use proper size [silicone wires](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/u7EQVvR) plus correctly dimensioned shrink-wrap.
