Hi-Flo - Lightweight 4020 Blower ducts for Ender 3
thingiverse
For Ender 3 style gantries, Microswiss hotend and Winsinn 40mmx20mm blower fans (2x m3x6 screws needed) Work-in-progress: Make sure part cooler is not below your nozzle!!! currently working on adjustable height, but you can always carve it down with a knife or sand paper. I cannot be responsible for any crashes. Also working on the general printability of the part cooler ducts. I wanted the smallest hotend setup possible, and was rarely using my part cooling fan, so I made a duct for a 4020 blower fan. High Flow isn't really the best description, more like high pressure, but I'm not changing the fusion project and all the file names... This was originally just for a project where I was printing lots of parts one at a time and needed as much clearance as possible, so I experimented with a higher pressure blower pushing air through the hotend fins. It's lightweight and sticks out less than the heater block itself, and seems to work fine, so it became my standard. Been using the hotend fan and no pcf for months without issue. Just designed a part cooler duct (that can be removed, if clearance becomes priority again.) All a work in progress, of course. Currently printing the part cooling duct for the first time, actually. So feel free to print the main blower duct, but printing the part cooling duct signs you up to be my beta tester =] Please feel free to leave feedback =--=---=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--= Instructions: Hotend cooler gets printed standing up, as it would be on the extruder. it clips around the right side of the gantry plate, and gets one m3x6 screw from the backside, between the 2 top rollers. no need to unscrew your gantry rollers or CR touch bracket. The spacer may be unnecessary, but I wanted to really force the air past the fins. For the PartCoolingFan, the backplate should grab the right corner of the main duct, and get one screw in the lower left. The rest of the duct then clips on to the backplate.
