A quick latch secures the HH-9000 antenna in place, preventing it from folding over at speeds of 70+MPH or during slight bumps at that speed. It won't hinder manual folding of the antenna either; the latch will simply slide back, allowing you to fold it down easily. To install this feature, remove the initial rod first. You may also need to grind a tiny bit more where the two set screws meet on the first rod, to ensure they're flush with the base. The final fit should be slightly loose, sliding up and down smoothly.
