HGA Cut Into Parts for No Support Printing
thingiverse
This custom HGA design enables hassle-free printing without requiring supports. To achieve this, the HGA is split into two separate parts and positioned with the flat sides facing downwards towards the print bed. The components are then either securely fastened together using screws or a reliable adhesive. By applying filler and sanding techniques, a seamless joint can be created, further concealing the seam by crafting an artificial weld over the junction. This can be accomplished by applying a thick, irregular hot glue line along the edge to mimic the original prop's welding pattern, as depicted in this reference image: [https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/Sony_Lobby_Reference#/media/File:Sony_Lobby_Set_1_Picture_427.jpg](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/Sony_Lobby_Reference#/media/File:Sony_Lobby_Set_1_Picture_427.jpg).
